EMERGENCY

In an emergency, always call triple zero (000) for an ambulance. Ambulances are the safest way to be assessed, treated and transported to the right hospital for the care you need.

Triple zero (000) is a free call from any phone, mobile or phone box.

For less severe but still urgent situations, go to an Emergency Department.

There are 12 public hospital Emergency Departments in Northern NSW Local Health District and they are all available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

1,154 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the Northern NSW Local Health District to 8pm last night.

There are 42 COVID-19 positive patients in hospital in Northern NSW, with 6 of these in ICU.

The new cases are located in the following LGAs:

  • Tweed Heads 641
  • Byron Shire 171
  • Ballina 106
  • Lismore 96
  • Richmond Valley 78
  • Clarence Valley 54
  • Kyogle 6
  • Tenterfield  2 *(Tenterfield is in a different Local Health District, but postcodes put cases in NNSWLHD)

If you have any #COVID19 symptoms it is still important that you have a test and self-isolate until you receive a negative test result. You can get tested at any of our hospital testing clinics seven days a week. Other clinics may have reduced hours, so please check before attending.

You can get your #booster if you are 18 years and over. A booster is strongly recommended to help keep your protection against the virus high, particularly if you’re over 50 or have an underlying medical condition.
