Get the right healthcare on your doorstep.  

The Tweed Urgent Care Service is available for people living in:  

  • Tweed Heads to Pottsville  
  • Murwillumbah and South Murwillumbah.  

Your home address must be within this area to use the service.  

About the service  

The Tweed Urgent Care Service is for people who need urgent care (not emergencies) and cannot get an appointment with their General Practitioner (GP) or a nearby medical centre.  

Our team comes to you. Telehealth appointments are also available when appropriate.  

The service is free for Medicare cardholders.  

When we’re available  

We’re open 8am to 8pm, every day of the year, including public holidays.  

Who we are  

We are nurses, extended care paramedics and allied health professionals who work together to keep you safe and supported at home. We provide assessment, treatment and short-term care for a range of urgent health needs.  

What we can help with  

We can care for urgent, non‑life‑threatening health issues, such as:  

  • minor cuts  
  • sprains or suspected fractures  
  • minor infections  
  • urinary tract infections (UTIs)  
  • minor burns  
  • rashes  
  • insect or animal bites  
  • cough, cold or flu  
  • mild asthma attacks  
  • earaches  
  • fevers or chills.  

Remember, if it is life-threatening, call Triple Zero (000) or go to an emergency department. Life-threatening conditions include chest pressure or pain lasting more than 10 minutes, difficulty breathing, uncontrollable bleeding or sudden collapse.

Call 02 6677 2136, from 8am to 8pm seven days a week, including public holidays.  

Or speak with your GP, who can refer you to the service if it's the best option for your care.
