Lismore Base Hospital has general medical and surgical inpatient units situated in three separate locations: C Block, E Block and F Block. Each unit is named according to its location.
General visiting hours are 10am to 8pm. Exceptions outside these hours can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis with the Nurse Unit Manager.
- C7 is a 30-bed acute care ward, with five medical teams providing speciality services in stroke, respiratory, diabetes, general medicine and Geriatrics. The general medicine physicians covering the ward also have a special interest in endocrinology, infectious diseases, delirium and chronic pain. C7 provides a dedicated acute stroke service comprising of a stroke team and eight allocated stroke beds.

- E9 is a 28-bed acute care ward caring for oncology, haematology, and gastroenterology patients.

- E10 is a 28-bed acute care ward caring for a combination of medical and surgical short stay patients.

- F10 is a 30-bed acute care ward caring for surgical patients, including general surgery and orthopaedics, who require a higher level of acute care and complex surgeries.
