The Occupational Therapy Department provides a range of services for patients at Lismore Base Hospital.
Inpatient services
Occupational therapists provide assessment and treatment of adults and children who are experiencing difficulties with normal, everyday activities following an injury or illness or due to changes in their physical or cognitive function. Occupational Therapists can assist in improving functional independence and safety by helping you develop new skills, prescribing assistive equipment, home modifications such as handrails, and referral to community-based services.
Outpatient services
We provide education at outpatient chronic care groups that are offered at the hospital, including Cardiac Rehab and Elective Joint Replacement Pre-op Clinic.
Hours of Service: 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
